The Christmas spirit was well and truly alive at the Mount Barker Day Options Christmas Lunch held in December.
With the smell of crispy skin pork belly and white chocolate cheesecake wafting through the office it was hard to resist going over to enjoy the delicious food and join in the festive activities.
Our Day Options clients, well assisted by support workers delivered a very delicious lunch for those in attendance.
Mount Barker Day Options Team Leader Sarah Puiatti said she is proud of the efforts the clients made on the day to make it a fantastic event.
“I am really proud of the fantastic efforts our clients put in on the day to make it a great Christmas celebration for 2018. It is always a real thrill to see our clients growing in confidence and developing their skills”, she said.
The team put in a lot of effort decorating Day Options, setting the tables and handing out Christmas hats and Bon bons for all to enjoy.
This is an extension of the regular hills ‘Hub Café’ that cooks and sells meals in a café style to the office staff once per month. This has been a major success with the clients taking significant ownership, looking for ways to improve it and developing independent living skills while having fun. Not to mention they make some great food!
Well done to the team and we look forward to enjoying more delicious meals throughout 2019.
