As you would be aware, the South Australian State Government announced a state-wide 7-day lockdown commencing at 6:00pm Tuesday 20 July 2021.
Community Living Australia remains steadfastly committed to maintaining the health and safety of our clients and their families, our employees and our broader community.
As such, Community Living Australia responded to the lockdown measures following guidance from SA Health. Based on their advice, the following changes to operations and service provision have been implemented:
Day Options and Community Supports have been placed on hold for the 7-day lockdown period.
If a client can not get adequate support at home, the use of a Day Options venue may be permitted. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Respite services will only be offered depending on circumstances. This will be risk-assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Accommodation, SIL and In Home Supports will continue as per usual as essential services.
Visitation is ok for care and compassionate reasons. Please notify Community Living Australia before visiting a family member or loved-one who is a recipient of our services. To protect both your loved one and the people they live with, if possible please wear a mask.
Masks must be worn at all times by Community Living Australia employees when supporting clients in any service.
The only exceptions are if the mask needs to be removed for communication purposes or if it is causing undue distress to the client.
All offices will be locked and closed to the public. Minimal skeleton staffing will be operating from some office locations. If you need to make contact please call 08 8536 5888.
All other office-based staff are required to work from home.
These changes will be effective until the end of the 7-day lockdown (Tuesday 27 July), upon which time they will be reviewed along with guidance from the South Australian Government.
If there are any further changes to the way we provide services, we will provide all stakeholders with timely updates.
We understand that these changes may cause some disruption and inconvenience. Every effort has been made to reduce the amount of service disruption and for essential services and supports to be maintained in a safe manner.
We thank all stakeholders for your continued support, patience and understanding as we endeavour to meet the needs of our multiple stakeholders while ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all people.
