Preparations for ‘Myriad’ – our annual exhibition of art by artists with disability – are well under way.
Registrations are closed and we’ve received over 70 registrations of interest: our highest number yet!
We’d like to take this opportunity to introduce the first of our feature artists — Leanne.
Feature artists are a new addition to Myriad. Their artistic contributions will help illustrate that disability is no barrier to creativity and art.
Leanne, aged 55, lives with disability after suffering a stroke at the age of 26. She enjoys photography and painting, often inspired by nature photography. She contributed to Myriad in 2018 with a selection of photos and ornate picture frames. This year her focus is painting.
If you’d like to see Leanne’s and all our other artists’ work, we invite you to register to attend Myriad’s official morning launch at the Adelaide Convention Centre on August 13. It’s completely free, with great complimentary food and beverages and sculptures will only be on display during the launch (due to safety reasons) before being delivered to reception area display rooms at a selection of our officers.
