What was originally intended to be a swimming day, ended up being a truck fest for CLA clients and Support Workers at the City of Marion Touch a Truck event.
Recently, the Southern Metro team were advised that they weren’t going to have access to their planned swimming session in Marion. Instead, they received a flyer about Touch a Truck.
The group had enjoyed previous interactions with emergency services including a visit from the Metropolitan Fire Service, so they decided to attend the event.
The event featured a truckload of activities and 13 vehicles were on display, ready for a full inspection by the gang.
Jessica held a fire hose and the group talked to many different emergency services personnel.
Everyone learnt a lot from the adventure and it was great to meet a lot of new people.
