Mia Qua
My name is Mia and I am an Aboriginal woman living in Murray Bridge on Ngarrindjeri land. I have been developing my art skills for 60 years. My art is an expression of my soul and my way to tell the world about my history and my beliefs. My past is dark and terrible but my art has brought me into the light. Art is my way of showing the positives of the present are created from abuse in the past. I have shared my art through a variety of exhibitions and really like to come to Myriad and see the work of other Artists.
Paul Sundstrom
I suffer from various forms of mental illness. At the suggestion of my psychologist I picked up a paintbrush for the first time two and a half years ago and have painted prolifically ever since. I recently won overall first place in the South East Art Society show and also first place in the mixed media category. Painting has transformed my life.

Tree of Re-Life
Not for sale
"The piece has been constructed with recycled objects from the artist’ sensory tools. The intent was to work towards several self-development goals whilst making use of items that are important in the artist’s everyday life. The materials include plastic Christmas beads, ripped magazines, and bottle caps all which represent and are by-products of key sensory tools within the artist’s everyday life. The artist worked on their fine motor skills by preparing and placing the materials that make up the design. The artist also worked towards a goal of focusing on a task, as well as engaging and communicating with peers and support workers, who helped with construction, to achieve a finished product."

Foxy's Adventure
Not for sale
I am an imaginative person who likes to create art based on my personal life events. I sketched and designed this character, Foxy, to reflect my own person and she is a character from a bigger story. I like to use bright colours in my drawings as it expresses me because colours make me happy, it also stands out. Foxy speaks my mind by reflecting my upbringing in the ward of state as I am able to express my feelings through her and show emotions in the art. In my art I like to keep my characters LGBTIQA+ friendly. Foxy represents herself as a she/her. This piece of art is important to me as it reflects my own life and a motto I live by is “be yourself no matter what.” Foxy is a fictional character who shows a rough path traveled but continues to always be herself.
